P&C Term 4 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting

πŸ“ MWPS Science Room
πŸ—“οΈ Tuesday, 28 October 2025
πŸ•“ 7:00PM

Thank you to everyone who attended the P&C Extraordinary General Meeting.

The Decision:
P&C members voted to transition the BASC service to a licensed external provider through a formal Department of Education tender process.

What This Means:

For current BASC families and staff, there are no immediate changes. The service will continue as normal with current staff, operations, and fees remaining unchanged during the transition period. The transition process is estimated to take somewhere between 6 and 12 months. BASC will operate as usual during this time, and you will receive regular updates throughout.

Next Steps:

The P&C will now establish a project team to manage the transition and work with the Department of Education on the tender process. A provider will be selected based on clear criteria including quality of care, fees, inclusion support, and alignment with school values. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition that maintains the quality-of-care families depend on.

The P&C Executive will meet in November and will continue to keep all stakeholders updated as the process progresses.
